What this site is

StarDay (开源序 in Chinese) is an independently operated website for ranking and discovering open-source projects on GitHub. It is not an official GitHub website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, Inc. GitHub is a trademark of GitHub, Inc.

Data sources and accuracy

Project names, descriptions, stars, forks and push dates come from GitHub's public API and public pages. They are collected periodically and are not real-time.
Project introductions are compiled or translated from public material; some may be generated by software and have not been tested. Rankings and labels are for reference only and are not a recommendation or warranty.
License categories are derived automatically from license metadata. Your actual obligations are set by each project's own license.
We try to keep data accurate but do not guarantee it is complete, current or error-free. Please check the original source before relying on any project.

Project authors: corrections and removal

If you author or maintain a project and want its introduction changed, its information corrected, or the project removed from this site, email [email protected] with the repository URL and your request. We will act on it after verifying that you are the owner.

Accounts

You can browse without an account. Saving favorites and comparisons requires signing in with email, Google or GitHub.
Keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity under it.
You can deactivate your account under My account. We may deactivate accounts that break these terms.

Payments

The site currently offers no paid features. If paid features are introduced, prices and refund rules will be published and these terms updated.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

scrape pages or APIs in a way that disrupts the service;
attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts;
use the site to publish unlawful, infringing or malicious content.

Intellectual property

Each open-source project's name, logo, code and documentation belong to its authors and are governed by its license. The pages, ranking method and curated content written by this site belong to this site.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from using or being unable to use the site, or from decisions made based on its information.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Material changes will be announced on the site.
